Bulgaria, late in November in the year 1885. In the calm moonlit evening a young, rich, and beautiful lady is waiting for her father and her fiancé to come back from the war with the Serbs. She is disturbed by a fugitive from the opposing army, trying to save his life by hiding in her bedroom. Touched with sympathy, the young lady decides to help him. However, now a much harder task awaits her; namely, to hide this fact from her father and her fiancé. The matter is slowly becoming more and more complicated until the main characters realize that the secret has transformed not only the state of affairs around them but also the state of their own feelings.
Bułgaria, późny listopad roku 1885. W spokojną księżycową noc młoda, piękna i bogata panna oczekuje powrotu swego ojca oraz narzeczonego z wojny przeciw Serbom. Jej spokój zakłóca uciekinier z bitwy, który należy do obozu wroga. Próbuje on ratować życie, szukając ukrycia w jej sypialni. Pod wpływem współczucia, młoda dama postanawia mu pomóc, ale teraz czeka ją dużo trudniejsze zadanie; otóż musi ona ukryć ten fakt przed ojcem i narzeczonym. Sytuacja komplikuje się do tego stopnia, że w pewnej chwili bohaterowie odkrywają, iż owa tajemnica przeobraziła nie tylko stan rzeczy naokoło nich ale i stan ich uczuć.
