BIOGRAPHY
Mike Spine is a critically acclaimed Seattle born and Seattle/Europe based musician known for his captivating live performances, intelligent songwriting and voice. He has played hundreds of shows in five continents since 1995.

He is touring as a folk rock duo in support of the release of his 10th studio album, "Forage & Glean, Volumes I & II", with Mike on guitar and vocals, accompanied by Barbara Luna from Milan, Italy on piano, violin, guitar and backing vocals. "Forage & Glean" is a double album anthology, containing the best of the last 20 years of songs and recordings.

When not playing music, Mike spent the last 20 years working as a public school teacher and activist for social, economic and environmental justice issues, performing dozens of benefits in multiple countries.

Mike has shared bills and stages with artists such as Mike Watt (Iggy Pop & The Stooges, Minutemen), Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Los Lobos, Damien Jurado, Artis the Spoonman (Soundgarden), Johnny Sangster (Steve Turner of Mudhoney, K.D. Lang, Neko Case, Laura Veirs), Omar Pedrini, Pall Jenkins (Black Heart Procession, Three Mile Pilot), Dick Valentine (Electric Six), Stef Burns (Alice Cooper, Vasco Rossi), Chiodos, The Murder City Devils, Ian Moore (Joe Ely), The Districts, Sean Nelson (Harvey Danger), Steff Nevers, The Lonely Forest, Joel RL Phelps (Silkworm), Pete Krebs (Hazel), Tom Price (The Monkeywrench, Gas Huffer, The U-men) Fernando Viciconte, Napalm Beach, Chiodos, Boat, The DT's (Dave Crider of Mono Men, Estrus Records), The Blakes, Korby Lenker, David Mallet, Jim Page, Camille Bloom and Vince Mira to name a few.

Mike started Global Seepej Records while living in Portland, Oregon in 1996 and has released dozens of recordings of artists from, including 2008's compilation, "Sounds from the Seattle Underground".
